The Bible is God’s message for the world.

We seek to know, understand and live out it’s teachings.

At Coastlands Christian Community Church we believe:-

1. that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original documents, and of final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

2. there is one God who exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

3. that God created all things, sustains all of life, is Father of all humankind, is our Redeemer and our Judge.

4. that sin entered the world through human disobedience following the rebellion of Satan against God and due to personal sin, now, before God, all stand in need of salvation.

5. that God, in His grace, sent Jesus to sacrifice Himself on the cross being both our substitute and representative and thereby bringing salvation to all who repent and put their faith in Him (become a Christian).

6. that the Lord Jesus Christ (God the Son) while on earth was fully God and fully Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless and perfectly obedient (to God the Father) life on earth.

7. that Jesus rose bodily from the dead and ascended to his Father where he now ministers at the Father’s side as our Great High Priest.

8. that Jesus will come again at a time known only to God to gather His people to Himself to enjoy His presence for eternity and to reign in power and glory with Him.

9. that Jesus Christ alone is head of the Church; a community called into being by God.

10. that the Church Universal consists of persons who have personally and knowingly repented and put their faith in Jesus Christ (become a Christian).

11. that locally “the church” consists of Christians who pledged themselves to live a transformed life and, as such, have the responsibility to:

• Encourage other Christians through meeting together for worship and fellowship;

• Uphold moral directives and ethical values contained in the Bible as expressed within the context of their personal life, their marriage life (the covenantal relationship of one man and one woman), and their relationships with others.

• Share the good news to all the world;

• Be active in expressing God’s love through social justice and missionary endeavour.

12. that the God the Holy Spirit indwells Christians as a comforter and guide; guaranteeing their eternal hope and

empowering them to live a godly life.

13. that the Holy Spirit endows each Christian with spiritual gifts for the well-being, functioning and mission of the church.

14. that Christians need to follow Jesus through the waters of baptism in obedience to God and wherever practicable this is to be by full immersion.

15. that Christians need to participate in the Lord’s Supper on a regular basis according to God’s instruction.

16. that those who have rejected Jesus in this life will be rejected by Him in the next and be excluded from His presence to suffer eternal punishment.
